When Trey Green was in high school in North Carolina, his recruiting rankings made him one of the country’s most highly sought guards.

He was a consensus top-100 recruit and a four-star on every recruiting list. Had SLU landed such a player two years ago, he would have arrived with some of the best credentials of anyone in the last 20 years.

Green’s arrival as a transfer from Xavier this year came with minimal hype but big expectations. His two years with the Musketeers were not what he might have liked, including a second season that was truncated by what officially was listed as an injury.
