The jokes directed at Gibson Jimerson have been accumulating for a year or more, ever since he neared the end of his fifth season at Saint Louis University with a sixth still a possibility.
Coach Josh Schertz has made sure the jabs have endured, recently referring to Jimerson playing college basketball in an over-30 league or being “grandfathered in — literally” to continue his career.
Jimerson, 25, has been at SLU for nearly one quarter of his life and will make his final appearance at Chaifetz Arena on Saturday night in the regular-season finale against Duquesne.
