Josh Schertz expects to spread playing time with no one reaching 30 minutes per game

Wanting to make sure he substituted on time and in an organized fashion, SLU coach Josh Schertz created a script for two preseason games.

His plans were drawn out for the first three quarters against Iowa and for the first 33 minutes against Bradley. He deviated from the blueprint once.

Nine players shared the bulk of the minutes, and Schertz subbed in clusters, often sending four fresh Billikens into the game at a time. It likely was a sign of how he will spread the minutes when the season starts next week.
