On the rare occasions Josh Schertz is spotted in a suit or at least a sport coat, it’s a good bet he is going to or coming from a speaking engagement related to the Billiken Victory Fund.
The first-year coach has been the face of 2024-25 fundraising efforts for Saint Louis University athletes in the new world of Name, Image and Likeness. So, he’s willing to dress uncomfortably for his meetings with donors.
Every player on the men’s basketball team has an NIL agreement and is getting stipends this academic year from the BVF, which is the type of collective most Division I universities have established.
