SLU makes increased commitment to revenue sharing and basketball is reaping the benefits
Josh Schertz says, "I know I have the money. There's no question"
When Josh Schertz became coach at Saint Louis University, the pot of money to pay basketball players through Name, Image and Likeness was scant.
He arrived at SLU expecting a certain amount to be available, and eventually that dollar figure was reached, but it required an ongoing fundraising effort. It was part of the growing pains in the NIL era.
Now as Schertz recruits and shops for players to round out the 2025-26 roster, he is on a more sturdy foundation.
