Billikens improve to 3-0 in conference as Jimerson scores 28 points
The theme repeated by coach Josh Schertz during the season’s first two months was the need for an identity — a style of play Saint Louis University could build upon and lean on to win.
One might say the Billikens did have a personality during nonconference play, and it was one Schertz wanted to have nothing to do with.
Slowly, his players found a style on both ends that didn’t make him want to turn away. That process has led to a three-game win streak, including Wednesday night’s 73-68 win over St. Bonaventure that left the Billikens alone atop the Atlantic 10 standings.
