SLU can't get physical in second half after fast start and loses 11th straight at Dayton
Some old problems re-visit the Billikens at a bad time
The success Saint Louis University experienced with a route of Loyola-Chicago bled into the first half at Dayton in the form of a 15-point lead Tuesday night.
The Billikens were poised to end a 10-game losing streak on the road against the Flyers. They had a fourth straight win in their sights. The momentum needed for the Atlantic 10 tournament was building.
All of that fell apart in the second half of a 75-67 loss that pretty much ended SLU’s hope of finishing in the top four of the Atlantic 10 to get a double bye in the tournament.
