Give Kevin Kalish a position on the men’s soccer team to analyze, and he’ll name far more players at each position than there are starting spots.
That speaks to the amount of talent he thinks SLU has accumulated as well as his uncertainty entering a new season. Sorting through the players who make up the reconstructed roster during the short preseason is a daunting task.
It’s likely to continue into the regular season, which begins for the Billikens on Thursday night against South Florida at Hermann Stadium.
