Kalu Anya caught wind of a comment made by coach Josh Schertz after the transfer from Brown displayed some nifty passing against Loyola Marymount.

Not only did Schertz express surprise at Anya’s five assists, but he joked that he usually closed his eyes when the 6-foot-8 junior passed the ball in practice.

“I think I’m actually a better passer than people think, for sure,” Anya said. “You’ll see more of it.”
