Josh Schertz has a lot to say about SLU's communication on defense

'This generation doesn't really talk to each other much.'

There are times when Josh Schertz answers a question so thoroughly that only his response is necessary as an explainer on a topic.

Last week he was emphasizing in extremely strong terms during practice the need for Saint Louis University players to communicate on defense.

I asked him later about why it’s so hard to get players to verbally express directions on defense, and Schertz was not at a loss for words.
