There was significant intrigue around AJ Casey when he signed with Saint Louis University last spring.

He had been a four-star recruit out of high school in Chicago but never panned out in two seasons with Miami. He had a history of playing pre-high school with Robbie Avila, and the hope was that a reunion might spark a resurgence in his career.

But injuries kept the 6-foot-9 forward out of action for all but three games.
